Standing up for Small Businesses - Gavin hosted the manifesto launch of the Federation of Small Businesses at the Scottish Parliament.

NHS funding to be protected by the Scottish Conservatives The Scottish Conservatives believe that our NHS plays a vital role for everyone in Edinburgh and across Scotland. We see it as an absolute priority. It is for that reason that we have pledged to protect the health budget in Scotland. Under our plans, the health budget will increase every year of the next Scottish Parliament. In addition there are several important new plans we have announced: - Cancer Drugs Fund A £10million Cancer Drugs Fund to help patients who need critical medicines recommended by clinicians that are not available currently on the NHS GP walk-in centre trials These have proved successful in England and would be trialled at busy commuter routes. This has the twin benefit of allowing people to get appointments on the way to work while reducing pressure in other GP surgeries. Gavin Brown said: - “We rely on the NHS every day in Edinburgh Southern – they do a great job. The plans put forward by my party protect the vital funding required and allow some exciting new initiatives to be implemented.” |
