Gavin's Diary - Latest Entry - 1st January 2007Happy New Year
I hope that this diary entry finds you well and that you had a great Christmas. Let me begin by wishing you and your family all the best for 2007. This year is election year and over the next few months we will outline our policies to create a better Scotland. We have some very strong policies already – such as putting more police on the beat, giving a 50% Council Tax discount to all pensioner households and stopping the Labour/Lib Dem hospital closures. Using sound Conservative instincts and principles we will show how we can create long-term positive change for our country. It is time to really empower communities, families and individuals. It is time to give responsibility to doctors, nurses, parents, teachers and the police. By creating genuine local democracy we can re-energise society and cut the spiralling cost of government.
