David Cameron has renewed the Conservative party. Following his confident move to become party leader, the Conservatives have adapted to become a party well suited to confront the modern challenges facing today’s society.

By promoting “personal responsibility”, David Cameron’s modern Conservatives will seek to strengthen the communities of Edinburgh South, to ensure that it is a place where local families will have secure foundations to build their lives upon.

David Cameron will assist Annabel Goldie in making devolution work for the people of Scotland. Our modern Conservative party is keen to undertake the challenge to deliver equal access to first class public services for all the people of Edinburgh South without burdening today’s generation with higher taxes, or tomorrow’s generation with higher debt.

People in England and Wales have shown faith in the modern Conservatives’ aspirations. This was markedly illustrated by the recent local elections there, where the results showed a clear swing away from Labour to the Conservatives. It is now the turn of Edinburgh South and the people of Scotland.
