News - FASTER EDINBURGH TO GLASGOW TRAINThe Scottish Conservatives have announced that a new Maglev rail service between Edinburgh and Glasgow is on the Tory agenda as one of a series of options to improve rail services in Scotland. We are examining the option of a new Maglev service between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Whilst this would be a significant capital outlay, it would reduce the usage of and the congestion on the M8, and most importantly could reduce the journey time from Edinburgh to Glasgow to a mere 8 minutes. Gavin Brown commented: - “At this stage the project is simply being examined. However, it could have the potential to really get more people out of their cars and into public transport. This could be beneficial to the environment, the economy and residents.” |
