Gavin had done well in the Elections and we shall prove that next time around shall be the conservatives victory and we shall back Gavin all the way, this is only the begining

Well done Gavin Brown for campaigning to get more policemen back on the beat! Even an area as pleasant as Fairmilehead has problems with tearaways - the bus shelters on Frogston Road West are regularly vandalised - and only a visible, consistent police presence can address the issue. I signed Gavin's petition at a stall on Saturday morning. If everyone were to do so, the Labour do-nothings might have to listen to ordinary people.
- Philip Atkinson, Fairmilehead

Not only does our prospective candidate have more than a striking resemblance to that hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland, he is also a thoroughly fabulous person who deserves everyone's vote. He works hard and he will be an effective voice for our community.
- Jennifer Cursiter, Newington

Gavin is a true born leader and we would like to thank him for his help and support towards our charity song in aid of victims and families hit by the terrible tsunami disaster
- Zedd & Saffire, Gilmerton

To my knowledge many residents have welcomed Gavin's support for the restoration to Edinburgh South of a zero tolerance approach in respect of law and order (as implemented with success by Mayor Giuliani in New York City, and in other UK cities), to combat all forms of criminal and anti-social behaviour, no matter how petty. Edinburgh is a safe city, and south Edinburgh a safe community, but only with the election of the Conservatives, and Gavin, can we make this area of our capital even safer. Good luck with the campaign.
- Oliver Jarvis, Newington

I am delighted that Gavin is standing up for small businesses, as he is the owner of one himself. It was noted in the press recently that the head of a large company could not get access to the Scottish Parliament since they were not interested in small businesses. We need more people like Gavin.
- Diana Mackenzie, Bruntsfield

Great to see someone standing up for the views of most residents and businesses in Edinburgh and fighting Labour's road tolls. I read in the Evening News that, with just a few months before the general election, the local Liberal Democrat councillors have done a u-turn and denounced their national policy supporting the tolls. Funny coincidence. Well Gavin Brown has always fought against the tolls, and I wish him well in the campaign.
- Gordon Stevenson, Fairmilehead

As a local student resident, I am pleased to see that Gavin is proactive in fighting for the students' corner when it comes to the Labour/Lib Dem Graduate tax. The Lib Dems in particular have betrayed us students through their false promise by saying that they were going to abolish all tuition fees. Keep up the good work.
- Tony Wang, Marchmont
